Ongoing refurbishment at the water treatment plant

The community of Clocolan/Hlohlolwane is informed that due to ongoing refurbishment at the water treatment plant, the contractor will now be busy with replacing current pipe to install a pipe that will be able to increase water flow.

It is on this basis that the community is informed that there will be water disruption to enable the contractor to work on the pipe.

The Municipality will restore water supply as soon as this work is done. The Municipality would like to apologise for any inconvenience that might be caused by the situation.

Disruption of Water Supply in Clocolan/Hlohlolwane

Notice is hereby given to the community of Clocolan/Hlohlolwane that the Municipality will close water supply to both communities on Tuesday the 12th of January 2021. This is due to the maintenance of settling tank at the treatment plant. Once the Municipality is done with this maintenance, water supply will be restored.

Refurbishment of Clocolan Water Treatment Plant

This notice serves as a reminder to the community of Clocolan/Hlohlolwane that the Municipality is still busy with the ongoing upgrade/refurbishment of water treatment plant in Clocoan/Hlohlolwane.

The community is reminded that the current work taking place at this water treatment may affect both the quality and quantity of the water supplied to both communities. Once the ongoing work is done, the supply and the quality of water will be back to normal.

Public Notice

Setsoto Local Municipality would like to inform the public and all stakeholders that the Municipality has observed the decline in number of reported Covid-1 9 and an increase in the recovery rate amongst employees.
The Municipality will therefore resume with its normal working hours (07h30 – 16h30) and this will be with effect from the 01st of December 2020.

The Executive Mayor, Cllr KE Koalane, continues to urge the community of Setsoto to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 regulations to minimize the spread of this virus. Communities are requested to self – isolate if they have been tested for Covid¬19 until they receive their results and if they have been in contact with anyone who has been confirmed positive they must report to the Department of Health to ensure proper monitoring and reporting on the cases in our Municipality.

Communities and employees are requested to be cautious of the known pandemic symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throats, high temperature and shortness of breath.

The Executive Mayor also pleads with everyone to ensure that they always wear a mask, wash hands/sanitise, keep social distance and be vigilant.

REDUCTION OF WORKING HOURS FOR MUNICIPAL OFFICES AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES DUE TO THE INCREASE OF COVID-19 CASES RECORDED ON MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES

Setsoto Local Municipality would like to inform the public and stakeholders that due to the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases within the Municipality, the Municipality found it imperative to prioritise the safety of employees and the public at large by enforcing strict measures in line with the Guidance Note of Department of Health for vulnerable employees and workplace accommodation in relation to Covid-19 (V4: 25 May 2020).
