Preferential Procurement Regulations, eTender Portal, Central Supplier Database (CSD) and 30Day Payment of Invoices.

To give impetus to the New Growth Path (NGP), the President pronounce in the State of the Nation Address in 2015 the following pronouncement:

“THAT GOVERNMENT WILL SET-ASIDE 30% OF APPROPRIATE CATEGORIES OF STATE PROCUREMENT FOR PURCHASING FROM SMMEs, CO-OPERATIVES, AS WELL AS TOWNSHIP AND RURAL ENTERPRISES

In light of the pronouncement made, the Free State Provincial Treasury and the Department of Economic and Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs will be conducting Roadshows throughout the Province on the 2017 Preferential Procurement Regulations, Central Supplier Database (CSD), e-Tender Portal and 30 Day Payment of Invoices with potential suppliers within the different districts.

All suppliers (and potential service providers) are hereby invited to attend these roadshows within the different districts where the Free State Provincial Government will be sharing information on the changes brought on the 2017 Preferential Procurement Regulations, supporting suppliers with self-registration on CSD, e-Tender opportunities and how to register complaints with regards to late payment of invoices.

Other Organs of State will also be available at the roadshows to share information with suppliers.
