Notice is hereby given to the residents of Ficksburg/Meqheleng that the Municipality has encountered challenges with 2 pumps from Ficksburg Water Treatment Plant. Currently the Municipality is pumping with 1 pump from Meulspruit and its capacity can unfortunately not handle the current demand.

The community of Ficksburg/Meqheleng is informed that the main electricity cable supplying power to the treatment plant got burnt yesterday and this has unfortunately resulted in municipality not being able to purify water from the plant.
This therefore means water supply will be hugely affected. However, the Municipality is already on site to address the situation as soon as possible.
The Municipality would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by the situation and takes this opportunity to thank community’s patience during this entire time.

Interruption of Electricity Supply

All businesses and residents of Ficksburg/Caledon-Park/Medheleng and Clocolan/Hlohlolwane are hereby notified that there will be an interruption of electricity supply as per below schedule. The interruption is for Eskom to carry out essential maintenance.

The interruption will take place as follows;
